Hey, it’s Ashleigh Henry. Welcome to Your Conversation Pit, the podcast. We’re talking about how building everlasting relationships builds everlasting opportunities. And this is something that clients come to us for all the time because we have a powerful, purposeful and profitable brand, but we haven’t had to work with thousands of people to get here.
We’re talking about everlasting relationships, everlasting opportunities.
So when I say everlasting opportunities, I’m talking about everlasting opportunities and doors open to the folks that you’ve created everlasting relationships with, to not just have them in your brand and in your business, perhaps like exchanging money so then there’s like commerce happening, but also for you to serve their uh, clientele, if they have clientele, to serve their communities with something, to leverage the connection that you both have to be really good friends, have better connections in the world, better conversations, you know, just like more than just business, business, business.
There’s more to life than just business.
So let’s talk about some facts:
Retention. It comes from connection, not just problems.
Creating space to create relationships is the most profound work you can do as you build your company’s legacy.
We learn, we grow and expand from people that are expanders themselves and people that challenge our usual perspectives.
Create space for expansion and expanders, and in episode one, we specifically talked about how important it is to dismiss the hierarchy and kind of pedestalling nature we see in the business world so often, to really allow for conversation, a humanistic connection between humans.
Okay, so building everlasting relationships starts with leveraging my favorite theory, the FORD theory.
F O R D stands for something in every letter.
F stands for family.
O stands for occupation.
R stands for recreation.
D stands for dreams.
And if you look at FORD; family occupation, recreation and dreams, that is kind of a step by step process to getting to the deep conversation.
Dreams is actually where we expand as humans to kind of divulge our psyche because along with dreams, we’re going to have fears and along with fears, we’re going to have courage and we’re going to have different stories and evidence that we’ve done it before, that we can do it again.
And that’s where you get into the deeper conversation.
Let’s talk about leading folks into conversations.
So if you can lead folks into conversations that activate a deeper root, then – hey, when did you get started with your business? Which you can find on their website. That falls in the occupation category, sure, but it’s not the most interesting part of the theory aforementioned.
You can create an everlasting relationship by those common bridges of connection like we were talking about. Dog mom, college sweethearts, getting married, that kind of thing. You can really create some connections there.
I am just like every person needs a spreadsheet. And if you don’t have a spreadsheet, but you want to use like a different system. We love like ClickUp, Airtable, Notion, like there’s so many that you can use. HubSpot, Dubsado is what we use for like folks after we lead capture, but we still use a spreadsheet and we’re the multi six figure arena.
I want you to create white space for pop up coffee chats or sit downs with local entrepreneurs or global entrepreneurs, whoever you’re working with.
And I just want to say, cause I’m sure you’re like, uh, I’m too busy for that. White space. Who is she?
Well ,if Warren Buffett can do this so can you.
He is totally iconic for having white space on his calendar for drop in conversations connections and opportunities so make it your new mantra.
Create conversations that matter and connect with people that youwant to connect with.
We invite you to start a conversation all around the world so we can create a more conversational collective.
And leave voyeuristic audiences behind. Voyeuristic audiences are audiences of people that just watch you online or in person that don’t feel connected to you and who don’t know how to connect with you.
Create approachable life and business changing conversations and see your life and business change forever.
We want to invite you over to our home so we can continue the conversation and experience more at www.thecheetahcompany.com where we host The Cheetah Cafe, our blog space to sip and pour over and receive knowledge and wisdom from all over the globe with women that are just like you building timeless and everlasting brands all around the world.
